Since I don't have wifi at my new house, I typed this post, saved it in a USB and went to the library to post it. So yea, this is a LATE post.
24.1.2011
HELLO. Readers, HOW ARE YOU?
I really miss you guys.
It has been too long since yours truly blog.
I haven’t got any wifi installed in the
new house so I can’t access to the internet.
I had to use the public libraries’ computer.
Since I am a member of a group of libraries,
I am entitled to borrow a maximum number of
70 books at one go for a period of 30 days (about a month!).
The computers in the library are free to be used too.
The BEST thing is there were no charges needed for the
membership card. Yep, that’s what you get for
being a first world country’s resident. Well, of course
you have to pay higher tax compared to when residing
in Malaysia.
I went to the city today which explains my lift of mood. YAY.
Seeing tall, compact buildings and people of all skin colors
with their distinctive style of dressing speaking their
native language really got me giddy inside out.
If it weren’t because I was rushing to the bookstore to
buy my school textbooks, I would have park myself on
one of the benches beside the busy sidewalk
and people-watch.
According to Jamie (the daughter of my dad’s friend),
the bookstore, which is at the intersection of Longsdale
and Swanston Street, sells secondhand school text books.
Knowing this, my mum bought us the daily train ticket
to the city. Unfortunately, the three novels- Stolen, Night
and Hannah Montana required for my English class
were sold out. Looks like I have to get brand new ones. HUMPH.
The past few days have been a pretty big letdown for me.
I felt like hopping on the next flight available
back to Malaysia. THEN, I visited Carmen’s and Ariel’s blogs.
I was cheered up instantly. I smiled and couldn’t help
laughing out loud like crazy (I was in the library and
it was so quiet that even if a needle drop on the
carpeted floor, you can still hear the ‘TING’ sound)
especially when I read what Carmen missed about me.
HARHARHAR. The way I laugh?
OH MY GAWT. What is wrong with my LAUGH?
HUH? CARMEN TEOH KA BOOM?!
I like the Carmen ugly part though.
I vaguely remember running the memories
I had with the MINI PABOs through my head
as I steadied myself towards the red and white airplane.
It was so SAD (not the memories, idiot). I felt like the HEROINE
giving up her wonderful life and fantastic friends
to save another country from boredom.
(PIC 4)(need to find)
OH. Do you want to see my new room?
Tell you something…
I don’t think I can take this anymore,
another 311 days hanging the clothes,
washing the dishes, helping to prepare lunch and dinner, etc.
Before this, I, Lady Shi-Yi, NEVER had to do any house work.
Auntie Liu, come back to Lady Shi-Yi.
I will never complain about your horrible cooking skills
(as if you have any HAHAHAHAHHAHA).
I even assembled my very own WHITE CUPBOARD.
Brava Lady! Brava, brava dear Lady!
This white cupboard comes in a flat pack,
which my mum purchased from the REJECT SHOP.
Jeez, I wished MR REJECT SHOP will read my blog
because the next thing I am going to say is,
CHANGE IT! CHANGE THE NAME OF YOUR SHOP!
Aiyo, how would you feel if someone walks into your bedroom,
stares with total adoration at your white cupboard
and says enviously, Oh boy, this must has cost you
an arm and a leg. Lovely thing, isn’t it? Where did you get
this baby from? I MUST HAVE IT. I MUST. SO, DO TELL ME.
You cough and smile feeblishly in vain hope to
cover the embarrassment you are about to face.
Oh, this white cupboard? *waves hand in the air as
if it cost a toenail and an eyelash*
I…got this baby from…THE REJECT SHOP *DUM DUM DUM*
EPIC SILENCE. Then, you laugh again.
He or she laughs out of plain courtesy
and leaves without asking you where THE REJECT SHOP is
while you run from behind and try to explain
that the items sold at THE REJECT SHOP
are all good and new, not rejected things other people leave
behind.
Walao. I just realized how lame I was
in the last three paragraphs.
Talking to myself. Well. Well. Soon I will be telling jokes to
my imaginary friends.
=.=
Do you still remember me bragging about my
sacrifice for making little cute cards for my besties?
Scratch that. THIS IS 100 times more tiring and energy
consuming. My bare hands screwed the nails into
the holes until they turned red and blotchy.
Even after three days, I still am proud with my ability
to “build” my cupboard from “scratch”.
HEHEHEHHEHE. Looks like studying Kemahiran Hidup
for three years paid off handsomely. Thank you, Puan Rahaya.
GUESS WHAT PEOPLE OF THE CYBER WORLD?
My new school is having an overnight orientation program
for all oversea new students this Thursday.
I really am excited!
WHEE~
I wonder who will be my future school mates
and potential friends. I can’t wait.
Whenever there is a big event coming up,
I am usually excited first, then, nervous the night before.
HAHHAAaaaaa ha. Ok. I think I am a little scared now. Pray hard for me, OK?
OH. I am finally getting a mobile phone. My OWN phone.
I know right? How can the Lady not have one when everyone
else have it since primary school days. Nevermind.
At least I have a BUBBLEGUM PINK laptop, which allows me
to watch LOADS OF KOREAN AND TAIWANESE DRAMAS.
Here is the list of shows I have watched so far via this laptop
Since my dad bought it for me last year in August:
1. (Korean) Boys Over Flowers
2. (Korean) You Are Beautiful
3. (Taiwanese) Summer Desire
4. (Korean) Sungkyunwan Scandal
5. (Korean) Playful Kiss
6. (Korean) Shining Inheritance/Brilliant Legacy
7. (Taiwanese)(movie) Love Announcement
8. (Taiwanese) Hot Shot
9. (Korean) Princess Hours
10. (Taiwanese) Gong Zhu Xiao Mei
11. (Korean) Dream High
I saw this LG KU3800 pink flip phone with LED lights
at the LG CYON website. Yep, it is a CYON phone.
Many Korean celebrities had advertised for LG CYON
Mobile phones. Lee Min Ho, SNSD, Big Band, 2NE1 are
among the ambassadors. AHH! AWESOME MUCH?!
Before you get too happy, GET THIS- LG KU3800 was only released in
Korea on the December 2010. =.=
So, think. Aussie surely won’t have that model in the market yet.
Malaysia… wait for 100 years later lah.
I WANT THIS I WANT THIS
I hope the weather tomorrow will be like how
Subang Jaya, Malaysia was in December. Not sunny yet not chilly.
I cannot stand Melbourne’s weather.
Last night was chili pepper hot. So, I just used one layer of quilt.
I tell you, don’t play play because THE NEXT MORNING WAS
FREEZING COLD. I regretted keeping away my second layer of quilt.
Really. Melbourne’s weather is unpredictable unlike
other countries with four seasons. Sometimes, you
will get four seasons in one day. SERIOUS. My parents
studied there so they know, okay.
Oops. I have almost forgotten to tell you what
happened on my arrival day in Melbourne Airport.
We MISSED OUT one of the boxes. Yes, we were supposed
to collect 6 boxes from the conveyer belt BUT we didn’t
count them to make sure we had collected all of them
before leaving the airport.
Back in the new house, my mum was telling
my uncle about the“very good” and “has two handles at it sides”
cooking wok she bought in Malaysia,
which my uncle remarked,
“Aiya. You can get this kind of wok over here.
Nothing special about it!”
Feeling insulted, she ordered me to bring out
the box that contained the wok because I think
she wants to prove her point or whatever.
So, I went to search and OH NO!
YEP. THAT WAS HOW WE DISCOVERED THAT
OUR NUMBER 6th BOX WAS NO WHERE TO
BE FOUND.
Alright. That’s all for today. I hope that
this long post of 1390 words will make up for my absence
of blogging in the past few days.
I shall end this post with….
